March 17, 2010 - Dinner Theatre

Working Reel is looking for a theatre generalist for our newest production to start ASAP. The person would be our sound and lighting person as well as participating in all other aspects of the theatre. The ASM position is critical for us right now and we need a great person to gig in with us. The positions starts ASAP.

Responsibilities:  source sound, help set lights, operate sound and light boards, help with set and other duties as required.
Show opens: April 9th
Show closes: May 29th (next day removal of set lights etc...)

Rehearsals start NOW. Must have preview March 25th for act one.....

Rate: to be dicussed but based on a $30 per performance (approx 18-20 performances)
Professional NON EQUITY NON UNION.

When: Saturday January 30th, 2010
            Open Call - 10 AM to 2:30 PM.
Pay: An honourarium will be paid in an amount equal to $30./ performance. No other compensation.
Dates: Open April 9th and run through May 30th. There are currently 4 Sunday Matinees scheduled and every Saturday Night as well as some
other week nights. There is one off premise performance planned as a weekday matinée.
Actors should be available for extra performance between open and close.


NOTES: Cold Read ONLY. No monologue required.  British accent preferred but not required.
Working Reel will cast the best that come to auditions. We do not invite actors individually nor do we 'pre-cast'.
This is a great chance to work with other professionals and do quality work. All work is done as a team. Actors must be prepared to work on set, set up, strike, and assist in production. You will be part of the first production inthis venue and the start of what we hope will be a long relationship with the Woodbine Entertainment Group.

Synopsis: Bernard is planning a weekend with his chic Parisian mistress in a French farmhouse. He has arranged for a cordon bleu cook to prepare gourmet delights, is packing his wife Jacqueline off to her mother’s, and had even invited his best friend to provide the alibi. It’s foolproof; what could possibly go wrong? Suppose Robert turns up not knowing why he has been invited? Suppose Robert and Jacqueline are secret lovers? What happens if the cook is mistaken for the mistress and the mistress is unable to cook? An evening of hilarious confusion ensues as Bernard and Robert improvise at breakneck speed.

Synopsis: In this side-splitting and thought-provoking new comedy, Leon and Bill concoct a list of attributes of the ideal women; the top ten best qualities in a mate. When the allegedly “Ideal Woman” actually arrives on the scene the men quickly learn that their list could use a few revisions. Be careful what you wish for – especially in choosing a mate. This old adage leads to hilarious results in Foster’s sparkling new comic hit.
